Terms of use

Last updated:

Purpose

These terms govern the use of the Wiki Puzzle app and the wikipuzzle.app website, published by the publisher identified in the legal notice. By using them, you accept these terms.

Use

The app is free and requires no account. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use it for private purposes. The terms of the store from which you installed it also apply.

Advertising and purchase

The app shows ads, as explained in the privacy policy. An optional one-time purchase with no subscription, “Remove ads”, removes them; what it includes and its price are shown in the store before you buy. It is made and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), who send you the confirmation. Any refund request must be made directly to them, in accordance with the purchase platform’s terms: Apple or Google Play. You can restore your purchase with the same store account.

Right of withdrawal. As the content is supplied immediately, you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal if, when buying, you expressly agreed to immediate supply and acknowledged that you would thereby lose this right (Article L. 221-28, 13°, of the French Consumer Code).

Legal guarantee. You benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services (Articles L. 224-25-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). If something does not work as it should, write to us at support@wikipuzzle.app.

Content

The images come from Wikimedia Commons and are used under their respective licences (public domain, CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA); the author and licence of each image are shown in the app. The “Did you know?” texts are extracts from Wikipedia under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence or descriptions from Wikidata under CC0. You may reuse this content under its licences; authors and sources are shown in the app and on the Credits page. Subject to third-party rights, the rest of the app and the website belongs to the publisher.

Acceptable use

You agree not to overload or disrupt our server, not to extract its content by automated means, not to circumvent the service’s protections, and not to modify, decompile or resell the app, except to the extent the law allows.

Availability and liability

We do our best to keep the app and the website working well, but we cannot guarantee that they will always be available or free of errors; the image catalogue may change. We are not liable for problems outside our control, such as a failure of your network or device, the unforeseeable and insurmountable act of a third party, or force majeure. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer.

Changes

We may change these terms, in particular to follow the law or changes to the service, without reducing what a purchase already made includes. The date of the last update is shown on this page; any significant change will be announced in the app or on the website. You may stop using the service at any time.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. If a problem arises, please write to us first at support@wikipuzzle.app. Failing agreement, disputes are brought before the competent courts; as a consumer, you may in particular go to the courts where you live.
